Over Christmas we went to the mountains. The weather was beautiful all the time, but even better was the company: My girlfriend Chrystal.
I must admit though that the transition from being alone in strange places to the comfortable life of Switzerland was quite intense but much more easy than I imagined. Crazy how fast I adopt to laziness and how hard I have to fight to cope with the hardship of a pilgrim.

Some friends walked with me the first part today. I was a little nervous becuase it marked the beginning of the journey, but now I'm looking back to a great day with friends and Family. We started off at my parents house at around 9 in the morning, walked for an hour and then had a huge breakfast  (my mom brought it with the car) . Later we had a nice fire for lunch and grilled some Bratwurst. To walk this far for the fist day was tough but gave me a good feeling what to expect. We finished the evening with a great dinner at Dieci and now I get to hang out at Dans apartment for the night.

We will leave at the house of my parents in Erlenbach and walk to Rapperswil together. It is quite a long walk and represents pretty exactly the daily distance that I will walk.

Everyone is invited to join and spend that day with us.

We'll leave at my house at 9:00 in the morning, I'll organize a nice breakfast! Please be there at around 8:30 to 9:00.  We'll walk for 8 hours and 35 km. The only thing that you have to bring is a lunch for on the way. At around 18:00 we'll arrive in Rapperswil where we eat dinner together in the Restaurant Dieci.
